"Although I was never married,
I suddenly found myself in the same situation that most of my divorced friends and
co-workers were in. I knew I was not alone in my struggle, but could not locate
any groups or people that were actually doing something about the discrimination
I faced. I joined a group and shared my experiences, but beyond this, no progress
was ever made. I was approached about starting a new group of "doers"
instead of "talkers," and I was immediately immersed in helping to pave the way for
others. I hope no one ever has to go through any of the pain and discrimination that
my daughter and I have already been through.
With your help, we will do our best to ensure that no one ever will." |
